ABOUT THE OWNER
My name is Jonathan Cleghorn, and my passion is to provide high-quality piano service at an affordable price, in Duluth, Virginia, Hibbing, and throughout Northern Minnesota. I have over ten years of experience as a piano technician. In addition to tuning pianos, I have a Bachelor of Church Music and Master of Music Education, with proficiencies in piano, vocal performance, and choral conducting. I have serviced pianos on two continents, in ten different states, for three universities, and many different performing artists. Although I love all facets of piano technology, I am especially fascinated by rebuilding and restoring historic, antique pianos, and that passion has been featured in the Charleston (WV) Gazette-Mail and the Washington (DC) Times. I am regularly involved with several local music performance groups, and serve on the board of the Northern Lights Music Festival.
In my free time, I enjoy going on dates with my wife and playing with my kids. I love skiing and snowmobiling. In addition to piano service, I am passionate about choral music. I love singing in small choral groups where one has to be confident in one's ability to sing an exposed part by oneself. I love Baroque music--especially the cerebral counterpoint found in Bach's keyboard fugues. My extensive musical background enables me to perform much more than basic maintenance on your pianos: my standards for a piano's response are exacting, and I want your piano to be the absolute best it can possibly be. In short, I'm a music nut with a passion for making playing your piano the most musically satisfying experience possible.
